The Story
Fauve builds a complete garment around a simple contrast: the density of a burnt-orange botanical print against a dark ground, held in check by an olive-green embroidered line.
The top, long-sleeved and cut with a relaxed ease, lets the floral motif run freely across its surface. Only an olive-green panel interrupts that continuity: it descends from the collar to the chest in one precise vertical line, before echoing again at the cuffs.
The trousers carry the same fabric and the same print, in a wide-leg cut that falls to the floor. A green embroidered band runs along the outer leg, visually linking the two pieces without ever merging them.
Fauve reads as a contemporary interpretation of Moroccan dress language rather than its literal reproduction — a complete piece where the abundance of the print and the precision of the embroidery move toward each other, in a restrained balance between ornament and structure.
Craftsmanship
The olive-green panel stands apart from the printed body through a regular texture, structuring the line from the collar to the chest. The same olive-green tone borders the cuffs of the top and runs along the outer leg of the trousers, creating a visual continuity between the two pieces of the ensemble.
